Why Do Objects Need Names?

THE NOCT CODEX

Volume I · Objects

006

Why every object has a name.

Objects deserve more than model numbers.

01 — From Objects to Stories

Most objects are named after what they are.

We prefer naming them after what they feel like.

A car becomes TRADER.

An incense burner becomes IGNITION.

A pen holder becomes CIVITAS.

The object stays.

The meaning changes.

02 — Every Name Starts Somewhere

Some begin with architecture.

Some with films.

Some with places.

Some with a sentence that stayed longer than expected.

The name usually appears before the object is finished.

Sometimes before it is made.

03 — Naming Is Editing

Naming is choosing what remains.

Not every detail deserves to stay.

The shape stays.

The feeling stays.

The moment stays.

The rest disappears.

We don't name products.

We name what they become.

Objects are frozen moments.
